GANT is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a campaign for the fall-winter 2024 season that showcases both its mainline and a special limited-edition collection. The campaign features the well-known Matt Dillon, who has recently appeared in an MCM advertisement, alongside influencer Tony Özkan.
Celebrating GANT’s 75th Anniversary
The Anniversary collection draws heavily on the brand’s historical items. It honors GANT’s rich legacy, tapping into the classic styles that have shaped American sportswear for many years.
Expect to see elements like Oxford shirts from the 1950s, durable ruggers, and the famous leather varsity jacket that was all the rage in the 1980s. The Ivy Harrington jacket, which made waves in 1997, also makes a return to complete this nostalgic lineup.
Christopher Bastin, GANT’s creative director, discusses the heartfelt process of curating this collection: “We invested a lot of emotion into this anniversary capsule, recreating some of our most cherished pieces from the last seventy years. The result is a personal and carefully curated representation of our history in American sportswear.”
This collection isn’t merely a look back; it combines elements of the past with a modern twist. Bastin explains, “It’s a way to celebrate without excessive nostalgia. Everything feels very current, which truly reflects how timeless fashion can outlast fads and styles.”
A perfect homage to a rich history, GANT’s campaign connects the brand’s significant past with the vibrant styles of today.
