JD Sports has opened its biggest flagship store of the year at Birmingham’s Bullring & Grand Central last Saturday.
The sports retailer’s new 27,500 ft store has doubled its space at the shopping centre and has created over 100 new jobs, including both permanent and Christmas staff positions.
The new store will offer a range of brands, including Nike, Adidas, The North Face, Under Armour, and Juicy Couture.
The retailer had been running its previous store in the Bullring for 20 years.
James Air, JD Sports’ head of group acquisitions, said, “We can’t think of a better way to celebrate two decades of JD Sports at the Bullring than opening a fantastic new flagship store.
“We’ve seen the buzz and demand JD Sports has generated, so building such an impressive new store will bring even more of the world’s best brands to the destination’s many visitors”.
