Burberry has appointed Jonathan Kiman, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Gucci, as its new CMO, with his start date set for 9 September.
Kiman has spent a decade at Gucci, holding various senior positions, including senior vice president of brand, strategy, and marketing before stepping into the CMO role.
Before his tenure at Gucci, he served as the chief brand officer for Versace, a well-known Italian fashion retailer.
In his new position at Burberry, Kiman will take over from Rod Manley and will oversee the company’s global marketing team, reporting directly to CEO Joshua Schulman.
Moreover, Burberry has also appointed Laura Dubin-Wander, the former CEO of OTB North America, as its new president for the Americas, effective today (4 September).
Dubin-Wander will lead Burberry’s operations in the Americas and has an impressive background, previously fulfilling senior roles such as president for Coach North America, vice president at Christian Dior Couture, and president of Givenchy.
Speaking about the new appointments, Schulman expressed his enthusiasm: “I am thrilled to welcome Jonathan and Laura to the Burberry family. Jonathan brings extensive experience in revitalizing brands and creating digital-focused marketing teams.
I look forward to collaborating with him to improve our marketing capabilities and strengthen the Burberry brand.”
He added: “Laura is an energetic, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of building effective teams. I am excited to work together to expand our business in the Americas.”
